Head of Department: Gyusan Arsenty Onikovich, M.D., Professor, Honored Physician of the Russian Federation, People's Physician of the KCR, Academician of RAE and International Academy of Otorhinolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery.
Education: He graduated with honors from the Stavropol State Medical Institute in 1972. For two years, he worked as an ENT doctor in the Bashkir ASSR, and then from August 1974, he continued his work in the KCHR.
In 1975 he entered the postgraduate course by correspondence at the Department of Otorhinolaryngology of Stavropol State Medical Institute, from which he graduated in 1979 and in 1980 he defended his thesis entitled "Allergic rhinosinusitis: clinic, diagnostics and comparative treatment methods" at Moscow Research Institute of Ear, Throat and Nose. For the first time in our country Gyusan Arsentiy Onikovich carried out clinical application of grass pollen allergoid with positive result, carried out comparative evaluation of hyposensitizing effect of therapy with pollen allergens and allergoids.
Dissertation defense: D. thesis on "Allergic rhinosinusitis: clinic, diagnosis and comparative methods of treatment" at the Moscow Research Institute of Ear, Throat and Nose in 1980. In 1998, based on the results of many years of scientific and practical activity, the doctoral thesis was prepared and defended at St. Petersburg Medical University on "Surgical treatment of post-traumatic deformities and defects of the nose".
Area of Scientific Interest: rhinosurgery. For the first time in our country Gyusan Arsentij Onikovich carried out clinical application of grass pollen allergoid with positive results, carried out a comparative assessment of hypersensitizing effect of therapy with pollen allergens and allergoids. He developed and implemented a number of original methods of rhinoplastic surgeries. Gusan A.O.'s scientific interests are manifold, he is the author of 300 printed works, including 5 monographs, one textbook and two methodical recommendations.

The Department of Otorhinolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery was opened by Order № 497 of 16.09.2008.
The Department of Otorhinolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery is located on the basis of the departments of the Republican Clinical Hospital, it has the following classrooms:
Study rooms 2 and 5 in the therapeutic block of the hospital. Training room No.13 and a room for the work of department staff in the ENT department of KCHRKB. The latter has all the equipment necessary for work (computer, printer, scanner, multiprojector, etc.).
