General Information
The Medical Institute of the North Caucasus State Humanitarian-Technological Academy was established in 2004 in order to solve the staffing problem in the Karachay-Cherkessia Republic in the most demanded specialty - doctor's specialty. In accordance with the license for the right to conduct educational activities in the sphere of higher professional education the institute provides training in the specialty 31.05.01 Medical Business. Since 2016 in the Medical Institute of SCSTA the training of foreign students in the direction of training is carried out Medicine 31.05.01 with English enabled.
Since 2016, the Medical Institute of the NCSA has also been implementing educational programs in the following areas:

Since 2022 the implementation of the educational program 33.05.01 Pharmacy has been started at the Medical Institute of SKGA.
Educational activities at the institute are carried out by 19 departments:
The most important factor determining the quality of the educational process is the qualified teaching staff. Among them are I.N. Chaushev, M.D., professor, actively engaged in scientific activities, successfully applying the achievements of science in practice; A.O. Gyusan, M.D., professor; B.A. Khapaev, M.D., professor. Since the end of 2006 and up to now he has been heading the Territorial body of Federal Service on Surveillance in Healthcare of Karachay-Cherkessia Republic. While working in this position, made a significant contribution to improving the provision of citizens with affordable and quality medical care, Kotelevets S.M., doctor of medical sciences, honored doctor of the Karachay-Cherkess Republic, doctor of the highest qualification category, Professor M.A. Uzdenov, M.B. Temrezov, doctor of medical sciences, Professor Z.I. Shevkhuzhev etc. .
The medical institute trains doctors in the specialties of "Medicine", "Pediatrics", "Dentistry", "Medical Cybernetics", who may subsequently become therapists, surgeons, obstetricians-gynecologists, neurologists, psychiatrists, oculists, forensic medical experts, pathologists, dentists, pediatric surgeons, pediatric surgeons, cyberneticists, etc.
Classes for students of 1-3 years are held in comfortable auditoriums, well-equipped laboratories: normal anatomy, pathological anatomy, biology with the basics of ecology, microbiology, normal and pathological physiology, hygiene with the basics of ecology. Laboratories for histology, operative surgery, human topographic anatomy, pharmacology, as well as the vivarium and the Simulation Center function. At the senior courses the classes on clinical disciplines are conducted at the educational bases in the leading medical-preventive institutions of the republic, with which the relevant agreements are concluded.
Thanks to federal funding, the institute is purchasing expensive medical and educational equipment, necessary literature, and making necessary repairs to classrooms located on clinical bases.
After graduation, graduates can continue their postgraduate studies in postgraduate and clinical residency at the departments of medical universities in Russia, as well as residency in therapy, surgery, and otorhinolaryngology at the departments of the SKHA Medical Institute. Graduates can engage in research activities in theoretical and fundamental areas of medicine.
