Historical background
In accordance with the decision of the Academic Council of the Academy from 31.10.2018. Minutes № 2 the Rector of FGBOU VPO "SKGA" issued an order dated 31.10.2018 № 869/0 on the creation of the graduating department "Linguistics" by separating it from the department of "Russian and foreign languages".
Direction of training and learning outcomes: Bachelor's degree in Linguistics 45.03.02 with a specialization (profile) "Translation and Translation Studies" with the qualification "Linguist. Translator. Form of training: full-time, part-time.
The Department, together with its structural subdivision, the Training Linguistic Center, takes an active part in preparing SCSA students for international internships, as well as for participation in regional and interregional youth, sports and other events.
The department has 9 full-time employees and 4 part-time employees, who skillfully combine in their work both traditional basics of foreign language teaching and innovative methods and technologies of language literacy mastering. The main areas of work of the department:
