An event was held at the Faculty of Foreign Students organised by the Dean of the Faculty Khybyrtova M.R., assistant of the department ‘Surgical Diseases’ Bayramkulova A.M. and assistant of the department ‘Topographical Anatomy and Operative Surgery’ Janibekova Sh.S. Students prepared fascinating reports on outstanding Russian scientists in the field of medicine and their contribution to the development of medical science. There were presentations about Nikolai Pirogov, who is considered the founder of military field surgery and made a significant contribution to anatomy and surgical practice. They also spoke about Alexey Shevkunenko, known for his research in pathology and clinical medicine, and Ivan Pavlov, a Nobel Prize winner who became famous for his work in physiology and the study of conditioned reflexes.
