On 08.04.2025 Medical Volunteers held a lecture on donation for first-year students of the Medical Institute to discuss the importance of donation and its impact on people's lives.
Highlights of the lecture were:
- What is donation? We looked at the different types of donation including blood, bone marrow and organ donation.
- Importance of Donation. The speaker shared touching stories of people who have been given a chance at life thanks to donors.
- The process of donation. Participants learnt how to become a donor, what the examination includes and the procedure itself.
- Myths and facts. We debunked common myths about donation and answered students' questions.
▎Why is it important?
The lecture helped students realise that each of us can be a hero and help those in need. We inspired many of you to think about becoming donors and doing your part to save lives.
▎Thank you to all participants!
Thank you to everyone who came to the lecture and showed interest in such an important topic.
