ASTANA MEDICAL FORUM 2024: NEW GENERATION MEDICINE AT THE START OF THE FUTURE

On October 14, Astana Medical Forum 2024, a large-scale international scientific and practical event timed to coincide with the 60th anniversary of Astana Medical University, kicked off in Astana. The opening ceremony brought together key government and public figures, including Kazakhstan's Minister of Health, Advisor to the Prime Minister, Vice Minister of Science and Higher Education, as well as representatives of the World Health Organization and partner universities from Turkey, Russia, Uzbekistan and Europe.

The Forum brought together over 2,000 participants from 12 countries, including leading scientists, practitioners and government officials. During two days the key challenges facing medical science, education and health care system were discussed: digitalization, introduction of artificial intelligence, training of new personnel and advanced methods of diagnostics and treatment.

The North Caucasus State Academy was represented at the Forum by M.B. Uzdenov, Director of the Medical Institute of the North Caucasus State Academy, and S.M. Kotelevets, Head of the Department of Internal Medicine Propaedeutics.

Uzdenov M.B. presented a report on “Medical rehabilitation of patients with early stage colorectal cancer in the Karachay-Cherkess Republic”.

Kotelevets S.M. made a report on “Practical recommendations on prevention of gastric cancer”.
