The Department of Finance and Credit has 11 classrooms to ensure the quality of the educational process. There is also an economic analysis laboratory equipped with computers with software packages and additional devices. Lecture halls are equipped with multimedia equipment.

The Department of Finance and Credit was established in 1997. Currently, the department trains bachelors in the field of study 38.03.01 Economics, specialisation (profile) ‘Finance and Accounting’, as well as masters in the field of study 38.04. 01 Economics (specialisation) ‘Economics and Finance’, 38.06.01 Economics (postgraduate) ‘Regional and Sectoral Economics’.
The department conducts ongoing research work, involving undergraduate, master's and postgraduate students. The department's staff has a 100% employment rate. Since the department's inception, based on the results of scientific work, 25 dissertations for the degree of Candidate of Economic Sciences and 3 doctoral dissertations have been defended and approved.
The Department of Finance and Credit is one of the largest in the Institute of Economics and Management. The department trains specialists for state and municipal government bodies and financial and credit organisations, including banks, stock exchanges and insurance companies.
The aim of the department is to develop knowledge in the field of state and municipal finance, financial markets, entrepreneurship, investment and banking..
