XI - INTERNATIONAL CONCURSE OF YOUNG DESIGNERS ‘MINGI-TAU’ and International Scientific and Practical Conference ‘DESIGN: DIALOGUE OF CULTURES - CULTURE OF DIALOGUE’
The North Caucasus State Academy hosted the XI International Competition of Young Designers ‘MINGI-TAU’. This large-scale event in the world of fashion and design gathered talented participants not only from different regions of Russia, but also from 26 near and far abroad countries, including Finland, Bulgaria, Macedonia, Croatia, France, Costa Rica, India, Iran, Armenia, Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan, Turkey and Cyprus.
The competition became not only a vivid demonstration of creative achievements, but also an important platform for professional dialogue. The international conference ‘Design: Dialogue of Cultures - Culture of Dialogue’ was held within its framework, where leading experts discussed the role of innovation, tradition and intercultural interaction in modern design.

The Contest was attended by 643 full-time and absentee participants from 26 foreign countries and 30 cities of Russia.
In the nomination ‘Costume Design’ participated such cities as: St. Petersburg, Krasnodar, Rostov-on-Don, Bryansk, Shakhty, Maykop, Novoshakhtinsk, Kalinin, Bagayevskaya, Cherkessk. The works of students and graduates of the Institute of Design and Linguistics of SKGA attracted special attention. Their projects received high marks of the jury, and in the category ‘Student’ the victory was shared by representatives of the Academy and Don State Technical University.
A total of 42 collections were presented in this nomination.
In the category ‘Junior’ the prize-winning places were taken by the city of Maykop.
1st place - Student Fashion Theatre with the collection ‘Legend of Lago-Naki’.
2nd place - Vladimirovich Ksenia with the collection ‘Echo of the Red Planet’.
3rd place - Moiseeva Sofia with the collection ‘From the Pure Heart’.
In the category ‘Student’
1st place - Makhmadova Karina with the collection ‘Baryshnya peasant’ Cherkessk city
2nd place - Batchayeva Marina with collection ‘Spring’ Cherkessk city
3rd place was shared by Elena Kalashnikova with the collection ‘Waltz of Flowers’ Cherkessk and Anastasia Baikova with the collection ‘Northern Wind’ Shakhty.
In the category ‘Pro’
1st place - Kairolly Abishev with the collection ‘ZERE’ Astana Kazakhstan
2nd place - Bakirova Bibinur, Sergazina Aislu and Bakirova Yeldana with the collection ‘Tomiris’ Koshsy, Kazakhstan.
2nd place - Arti Soni with the collection ‘SonoBa’ Delhi, India.
3rd place - Tambieva Bela with collection ‘BLOSSOM LOVE’ Cherkessk.
The work on absentee participation and other nominations continued till 30 April.
The winners and participants were awarded with diplomas, certificates and commendations.
For the contribution to the development of intercultural interaction, and the culture of dialogue in the professional sphere of modern design, promoting friendship, understanding and cooperation of the countries of the Alliance participants, the Institute of Design and Linguistics NCSA was awarded the Cup of the Eurasian Women's Alliance.
