Since 2016. SevKavgA implements residency programs. Organization of educational process under the educational programs of higher education - residency programs is carried out in accordance with the order of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Russian Federation from November 19, 2013 ¹ 1258 "The order of organization and implementation of educational activities under the educational programs of higher education - residency programs".

In 2015, the Academy received a license for the right to carry out educational activities on residency programs in specialties:

Graduates of the SevKavGA residency program are employed in state and commercial structures of the Karachaevo-Cherkessia Republic and beyond.

Persons with higher medical education (specialty or master's degree) are admitted to the residency program. Admission is on a competitive basis according to the results of entrance tests, on budgetary places, on a contractual basis with payment of tuition fees by individuals and legal entities. The number of places, financed from the federal budget, is determined by the control numbers of admission, established by the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation.

Residency programs have been developed in accordance with federal state standards and are provided with curricula, working programs of disciplines, practices, and state examination programs.
