Academy: history of creation and development.


The Karachay-Cherkess Technological Institute (KChTI) was founded by the Resolution of the State Committee of the RSFSR for Science and Higher Education of 07.06.1991, No. 60.

On December 8, 1998, by order of the Ministry of General and Vocational education №. 2997, the Karachay-Cherkess Technological Institute has renamed the Karachay-Cherkess State Technological Institute (KCHSTI).

July 15, 2003, by order of the Ministry of Education of the Russian Federation No. 3055 State educational institution of higher vocational education "Karachay-Cherkess State Technological Institute" was renamed into the state educational institution of higher professional education "Karachay-Cherkess State Technological Academy" (State educational institution of higher vocational education "KChSTA").

April 20, 2010, by order of the Federal Agency for Education No. 410 SEI HPE "Karachay-Cherkess State Academy" was renamed into the state educational institution of higher professional education "North Caucasus State Humanitarian and Technological Academy" (State educational institution of higher vocational education "NCSHTA").

On May 27, 2011, by order of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Russian Federation No. 1832, State educational institution of higher vocational education "North Caucasus State Humanitarian and Technological Academy" was renamed into the Federal State Budgetary Educational Institution of Higher Professional Education "North Caucasian State Humanitarian and Technological Academy").

On May 18, 2016, by order of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Russian Federation No. 590, the Federal State Budgetary Educational Institution of Higher Professional Education "North Caucasian State Humanitarian and Technological Academy" was renamed into the (Federal State Budgetary Educational Institution of Higher Education "North Caucasian State Humanitarian and Technological Academy").

On November 16, 2018, by order of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation No. 980, the Federal State Budgetary Educational Institution of Higher Professional Education "North Caucasus State Humanitarian and Technological Academy" was renamed into the Federal State Budgetary Educational Institution of Higher Professional Education "North Caucasian State Academy" (FSBEI HE “NCSA”).

The founder of the university is the Government of the Russian Federation, the powers of the founder are exercised by the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation.

The Academy has the right to issue state-recognized education documents to graduates who have passed the final state attestation.

Currently, the NCSA includes 6 f institutes (agrarian, medical, legal, economics and management, applied mathematics and information technology, engineering) and the faculty of design and arts, as well as a secondary vocational college, in which 5262 students study (as of 01.10 .2018). The academy provides all the conditions necessary for the implementation of educational activities of the university: there is a library and publishing center, the Institute for advanced training and additional general and vocational education, the center of student creative work, etc.

The quality of training specialists at the university is ensured, first of all, by the level of training of the teaching staff. The academy is working 915 employees, including 314 - belonging to higher-education teaching personnel, 83 - educational support staff and 210 - service personnel, 77 - administrative and managerial staff, 37 – housekeeper workers, 77 - training and production personnel, etc.

There are 43 doctors of sciences, professors; 194 candidates of sciences in the Academy's teaching staff. Employees of the Academy have honorary titles and awards of the Russian Federation and the KChR: Honored Worker of Higher Education of the Russian Federation - 2 people; Honorary Figure of Russian Higher Education of the KChR - 1 person; Honored Worker of Culture - 1 person; 42 people have the title of "Honorary Worker of Higher Professional Education"; "Honorary Worker of Secondary Vocational Education" - 11 people; "People's Artist of the KChR" - 1 person; the title " Honoured Science Worker of the KChR" - 11 people, Honored Worker of Physical Culture of the Russian Federation - 1 person, " Honoured Worker of Physical Culture of the Russian Federation" - 2 people, Honorary diplomas of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Russian Federation were awarded to 12 people.

All educational divisions of the academy (institutes, departments) are headed by teachers with academic degrees and titles. Educational activities at the Academy are conducted on the areas assigned to the right of operational management by the orders of the Territorial Administration of the Federal Agency for the Management of Federal Property in the Karachay-Cherkess Republic and the city of Sochi.

Educational buildings carrying out educational activities are located at the following addresses: Cherkessk, st. Stavropolskaya 36, Lenin Ave., 152,154, st. Kosmonavtov, 100.

In recent years, much attention has been paid to the appearance of the university, its interior and the technical equipment of laboratories, centers, and classrooms. Much work is being done to ensure the safety of students and staff, energy-saving technologies are being introduced.

Medical care of students and teachers is provided by the Center for Promoting the Health of Students, pupils of the NCSA.

The academy has a network of canteens: "Molodezhnoye" (36 Stavropol Street), "Academy of Taste" (100 Kosmonavtov Street), college canteen (41 Stavropol Street) total number - 540 seats).

There are modern sports infrastructure: a swimming pool, sports complex, which houses a library, an assembly hall for 360 seats, three gyms (st. Kosmonavtov, 100) and physical education and health complex "Cupol" (Stavropolskaya, 36).

The residential complex of the Academy includes two dormitories, the total number of beds - 840. Provision of students with places in the dormitories is 100%. The living conditions of students are satisfactory.

The Academy has four training bases: "Narat" (Zelenchuksky District, Arkhyz), "UNPTs" (Krasny Kurgan village, Malokarachaevsky District), "Kholodok" (Yakornaya Schel village, Lazarevsky District, Sochi), the training and experimental farm of the agrarian institute NCSA (Krasivy village, Prikubansky District).

There are 5 ESPC in the NCSA: an educational, scientific and production car service center, an educational and production center for expertise, certification and design, an educational and creative production sewing laboratory, an educational and production center for baking technologies, a scientific and educational center for IT technologies and programming.

July 15, 2003, Transformed into a professional state institution

It was transformed into a state educational institution of higher professional education "Karachay-Cherkess State Technological Academy".
